Top-Down 2D Demons – 34 Animated Characters

The package contains 34 unique demons, ranging from smaller imps and basic demon spawns to heavily armed elite units and large demonic beasts. The variety of designs makes it easy to create complete enemy factions with weaker units, ranged attackers, melee fighters, elite enemies, special units, minibosses, and larger boss-style creatures.

These characters are suitable for RPGs, action games, roguelites, dungeon crawlers, survival games, RTS projects, tactical games, strategy games, and other top-down or isometric projects.

Included Characters

The package contains:

• 5 Demon Beasts: Demon Beast 1–5
• 6 Demon Elites: Demon Elite 1–6
• 13 Demon Spawns: Demon Spawn 1–13
• 10 Imps: Imp 1–10

Every character has its own appearance, proportions, equipment, and combat style. The collection includes smaller fast-moving creatures, basic demonic soldiers, armored fighters, weapon users, elite units, and large beasts.

All characters retain their natural relative proportions within the standard 128×128 frame size.

Included Animations

Each character contains between 20 and 23 animation sets, depending on its design and available actions.

Animations vary slightly between characters, but the package includes a broad selection of movement, combat, reaction, and special-action animations:

Some characters contain up to six different attack animations, allowing them to perform more varied combat sequences. Not every animation is shared by every character, as the available actions are adapted to each demon’s design, equipment, and fighting style.

Separate Character, Shadow, and Effect Layers

Animations are supplied using separate visual layers:

• Character layer
• Shadow layer
• Effect layer

The layers use matching frame layouts, allowing them to be combined accurately during animation.

Separate layers give you more control over presentation. Shadows can be adjusted or disabled, while attack effects can be enabled, recolored, modified, or replaced without changing the underlying character artwork.

Effects include visual elements such as weapon trails, magical energy, impact effects, smoke, and other character-specific animation details.

Unity-Ready Setup

The package has been prepared for use inside Unity:

• All spritesheets are imported
• All spritesheets are already sliced
• Animation clips are included
• Character, shadow, and effect layers are organized separately
• Matching animation frames use consistent layouts
• Transparent PNG artwork is included
• Files are organized by character and animation

This removes much of the repetitive setup work and allows you to begin testing and integrating the characters quickly.

Simple Example Scene

A simple example scene is included so you can select characters and preview their available animations directly inside Unity.

The scene is designed as a convenient animation showcase and testing environment. It allows you to inspect the characters, directions, animation clips, shadows, and effects before implementing them in your own project.

Please note that the example scene is intentionally simple. It is not a complete game template, combat system, enemy AI system, controller framework, or finished game project.
